Us "Older" Folks

Thought you might like to see what us "older" folks looked like on our wedding day! (I don't really feel old, but hey, look at the style of my dress!) David and I were married 25 years ago on April 29, 1983 in the Ogden Temple. It was a cold, rainy day but it stopped raining long enough to take some pictures. Keith Wilcox, the temple president, was our sealer. (He's the other guy in the picture.)

David and I met on a blind date. I met his cousin through the Ogden Institute and she lined us up when he got home from his mission. We took square dancing lessons if you can believe it. We haven't been since, except on Trek. I was actually a fill-in for his original date that got sick. To this day, he has never met her. 3 weeks after we met, he proposed. I was in a huge state of shock and told him I didn't know about that. I had just turned 19 a month before and was just having fun going out. (I really hadn't dated much before). He waited another 2 months and then I said yes. 25 years later, I love him more than I did on our wedding day. Some things just get better with time!

Wendy,
I love your wedding pics. Dave looks so young (you look like you have hardly aged, and not even old enough to have 8 kids, especially with one 23?) Love the post!!!
