The Roundy's and High School

Ironically enough, I have been on an organizing spree and have been organizing our Childhood pictures! So it was fun to see that someone posted the idea of "What we did in High School".
I wasn't much of a school fan, but I did get involved with the sports. I played on the boys hockey team for 3 years at Davis High, I got 2 Varsity Letters, a broken arm, and many bruises! The pic below is of me and my friend Cherry after a game. this picture was in the newspaper talking about girls playing hockey! The picture on the left was from the girls team I played on "The She Devils"!
I made an all time record at Davis High for getting 23 U's. For those of you who don't know, that is a bad citizen ship grade. That might shock some of you, but those who know me, it most likely won't! I wasn't a bad kid, I just didn't like getting up in the morning, and I do have a side of me that has some attitude. I also played Soccer on a couple of Comp leagues and mostly Recreational leagues! I love soccer and love the smell of the ice rink!
I did have a softer side to me as well. I was on Seminary Council my Senior year, took Certified Nurse Assisting classes, and got My EMT the summer after I graduated! My senior paper that I wrote talked mostly about what I was going to do after graduation. I wrote about all my career aspirations, how I never wanted to be a mother, and I wasn't getting married until I was 28. 8 months after graduation I was Married, and a year and a half after we were married, we had Easton! It was a good thing the Lord made it very clear to me that Lance was the one and that there was a diffrent path in my life that I should take, rather than the one I had origionally planned. I'm glad I chose what I did, and I wouldn't change any of it! My firery personality is mostly under control, but occasionally it does surface!

Lance grew up in Sandiego California. He went to 2 diffrent High Schools. He went to Vahalla for his Sophmore and Junior years. Then to Helix for his Senior year. He was very good at both baseball and Football. I didn't realize what a hottie he was in High School until I came across this pic of him last week!! It's a good thing we lived a few states away and went to diffrent High Schools! He also wrestled for a year, but didn't much like it. I'm glad, wrestling is a gross sport! For Father's day this year I found all his pictures from his youth and made him a book. I had no idea that he was some sports superstar. I have to brag for a minuet. There were dozen's of newspaper articles about him. Grand slam this, won the game that! I was shocked. I mean ,I know he is athletic, but I didn't realize that I married the Heartthrob of Helix High School! So, to all the girls of Vahalla and Helix High School, eat your heart out, I got him!

So Lance played Mostly Footbal and Baseball. The baseball pic and the football pic are his Softmore and Junior years. the cowboy pic is his senior picture. I tease him that he is a redneck, but he is a classy redneck! He did have a mullet, but no perm in it, his mother wouldn't let him, thank goodness! He was one of the few cowboys in California!

Katey,
You've hardly aged since high school. I can't believe Lance had all that hair (he he). It is so funny how much or little we change from high school. It is fun to think back and reflect about our glory days, isn't it? So much fun.

Go DAVIS! Too bad they knocked it down the year after I graduated. Loved the days with no A/C.

I don't know why I didn't recognize you in your wedding picture because you look exactly the same in these. I can't believe you played hockey! I would never be brave enough to do that. I'm right there with you on the citizenship issues though and at Bountiful we had to work them off AND pay $10 a U. My senior year was expensive!
