16

Hi, ward! We're excited to be part of this blog. It's hilarious and we hope to get to know everyone a little more. If you want, you can stop by our family blog at http://www.rjsnow.com/.

Rob 17 Mean

Here's Rob at 16. He had this picture taken for his hardcore rock band, Lockdown. They were going to put it on their awesome album, which was never made. Rob's a drummer and has enjoyed some success in a couple of his other bands. His other high school band, Mookie Proofed, had great success playing for school events. Download their songs here (zip file). When we were dating (after his mission) he was in another band named FOUND. They played around town in different clubs and won a couple of Battle of the Bands. Download their songs here (zip file). In high school Rob also played soccer in a league and tried to date as many of his girl "friends" as possible. Fortunately for me he wasn't too successful :).

Fountain Front

Here's me at 16. I went to Taylorsville High School, but wasn't too involved in anything having to do with it. I spent my time going off to Las Vegas with my friends (where this picture was taken), getting my navel pierced, and sneaking into clubs. I never really did anything too bad but I did put myself into plenty of situations that could've turned ugly really quickly. Looking back I'm really grateful nothing bad ever happened. Oh, to be young and careless...or stupid!!

We need to get Rob and Jason Wheeler together! We could have them start the Suntrails ward band!

Julie, I would have never guessed that you had a navel peircing! I love reading that we all have stupid things we did in High School!

Wow, things you learn from a blog. I went onto your website and your photos are amazing. Everyone is so talented in the ward. It is very impressive. I am with Katey, I never would have guessed you had a navel peircing. I would be too scared to get one of those. Very brave.

If we can get a bass player and a signer maybe we can do something silly for the ward talent show. :) That would be pretty funny I think.

DO IT!!! Get a band together, that would rock, I could volunteer to sing but you would probably want someone with an edgy voice and i don't know if I have much edge in mine. Love your post. You seem so quiet and reserved, I would have never guessed you went to "sin city" for fun times. I also had no clue Rob was a Rocker, that is so cool. I am so glad we are going to get to know you guys a little better through this. Sooo cool.

Judging from my spelling skills we really want someone that knows ASL instead of a singer. :) I'm down with you singing. We'll have to ask Jason if he wants to participate. Then we still have the problem of a bass player.

Julie, I wanted to get my navel pierced back in high school! hahaha... I had a friend that pierced hers on her own with a safety pin! yikes!

I think the ward "rock band" is a fun idea. Kris was in a band when we met, he played the drums. he hawked them to buy my wedding ring. It's a good thing cuz he wasn't very good..and that never better get back to him!!!

When Penn & I first started dating he did our ward talent show with a rock version of Book of Mormon Stories and a song by Muse. His older brother was on bass, their roommate on acoustic guitar, and Penn was on cello. You'd be amazed how rockin a cello can actually be :)
